Spring Is Here!
It’s been a little bit since I’ve updated you guys on what’s been happening with Emily Kern Photography!
We are beyond excited that it is officially Spring and the weather is finally starting to get warm! Don’t get me wrong, I love how beautiful snow is and I love cozying up with a nice cup of hot chocolate and watching the snowfall, but I am ready to get outside and start shooting!
We started 2022 off with our Valentine’s Day Minis and honestly, I was a little skeptical because when we attempted to do them in 2020 they didn’t do well. But this year was completely different, we changed a couple of things and they were a big hit! It was also nice to start off the year with a fun-themed session! We normally don’t start up until the weather gets warmer but since we were able to use an indoor space, it was great to start even earlier!
This year we offered the option of an indoor Spring session and an outdoor Spring session. We finished the indoor ones and are now focusing on the outdoor ones! They are located right in Wyckoff at this cute little park with a pond! These are a hit each year and we love seeing old friends and even making new ones! We have been busy planning different mini sessions for the rest of the year! Some we have never done before but are very excited to release! We have Headshot Mini Sessions coming up, as well as our Mommy & Me Mini Sessions and we are going to announce a fun one for July! And of course, we will have our regular Fall and Christmas Minis as well!
We are also in the process of revamping things on our social media and website! We have a few things that we will be launching throughout the year. We cannot thank our returning clients enough and those of you that recommend us to other clients! To show our appreciation, we are working on a type of rewards program that you can use for different sessions! It’s the least we can do when so many of you have been so good to us! We will have more information soon with a sign-up so you can be the first to know when it launches!
Another event we are working on is a Photography camp for kids over the Summer! It will be located in Franklin Lakes and we are in the process of securing the indoor location and sign-ups will be available soon! Maybe your child is interested in photography and will be bored once school lets out, why not sign them up to learn the basics with our intro to photography camp!
Lastly, we get asked all the time if we do other types of photography besides themed minis and we absolutely do! The majority of our clients find us through Facebook groups and are looking specifically for a certain type of mini session but in fact, we do all kinds of sessions! We photograph family sessions, proposals, engagements, maternity, events, and we are actually in the process of booking weddings!
